KeepSave is operated by KeepSave LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("KeepSave," "we," "us").

Overview

KeepSave helps you organize and access your deals, coupons, and offers. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your information.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Email metadata and content required to detect deals (if you connect an email account; see "Google User Data" below)
• Uploaded receipts or photos for scanning
• Basic account information (email address, account settings)
• Subscription and purchase status (via Apple and RevenueCat)
• Your device's location, if you enable Nearby Store Alerts, to identify deals available near you

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Identify and extract deals from your email
• Organize your saved offers
• Notify you before deals expire
• Process subscription purchases and manage entitlements
• Notify you when a saved deal is available at a nearby store, if you've enabled Nearby Store Alerts

Google User Data (Gmail)

If you choose to connect a Gmail account, KeepSave requests read-only access (the gmail.readonly scope) and your Google account email address (userinfo.email). KeepSave never sends, modifies, or deletes email.

What we access

• Your Google account email address, to show which account is connected.
• Messages matching a promotional search (for example "coupon," "promo," "discount," "deal," or "sale") from roughly the last 30 days. Messages that look like verification codes, sign-in alerts, or password resets are excluded from the search.
• For each matching message: the sender, subject, body text, and images contained in the message, which are needed to find promo codes, expiration dates, and barcodes.

How we use it

• Only to detect deals and save them to your personal KeepSave deal library, which is shown only to you.
• Google user data is never used for advertising, never sold, never used for credit or lending decisions, and never used for any purpose other than providing and improving this user-facing feature.
• No human at KeepSave reads your email unless you explicitly ask us to for support, it is needed for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law.

Who we share it with

• Anthropic (Claude API): the text and images of each matching message are sent to Anthropic's API only to extract the deal details (store name, description, promo code, expiration date, link, and barcode). Anthropic processes this data on our behalf under its commercial terms, which do not permit it to use our customers' data to train its models.
• Supabase: stores your account, your extracted deals, and your connection tokens.
• Google Cloud: hosts the KeepSave server that relays these requests.

We do not share Google user data with any other party, and we never transfer it to advertisers, data brokers, or information resellers.

What we store and for how long

• Stored: the extracted deal details, any coupon image or barcode from the message, and the message ID (so the same email is not processed twice).
• Not stored: the full body of your emails. Message content is processed in memory to extract the deal and then discarded; it is not saved to our database or written to server logs.
• Access tokens: the OAuth tokens that let KeepSave read your Gmail are stored in our database, linked to your account, and are deleted when you disconnect the account.
• Extracted deals stay in your library until you delete them or delete your account.

AI/ML model training

KeepSave does not use Google user data, or data derived from it, to develop, improve, or train any generalized AI or machine-learning models, and we do not transfer it to any third party that uses it for that purpose. The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Limited Use

KeepSave's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

You can disconnect Gmail at any time in the KeepSave app (Settings > Connected Accounts), which deletes the stored tokens. You can also revoke KeepSave's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Microsoft Outlook Data

If you connect an Outlook account, KeepSave uses read-only access (Mail.Read and User.Read) and handles your messages the same way as Gmail: a similar search limited to promotional subject lines, and the same processing, storage, and deletion practices, and no use for advertising or model training.

Third-Party Service Providers

KeepSave uses trusted third-party services to operate the app, including:

• Supabase, for secure data storage and authentication
• RevenueCat, for subscription management
• Google Cloud Vision and Anthropic (Claude), for OCR and AI-based deal extraction from scanned images and emails
• Google Places API, for identifying nearby retail locations when Nearby Store Alerts is enabled
• Apple, for App Store purchases and sign-in

These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Affiliate Links

KeepSave may include affiliate links to third-party retailers. If you make a purchase through one of these links, KeepSave may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Learn more about how our affiliate partners handle data in their respective privacy policies. Your email content is never shared with affiliate partners.

Data Security

• All data sent between the app, our server, and our service providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
• Data in our database is encrypted at rest by our storage provider (Supabase), and access is restricted to your own account through database access controls.
• Your sign-in session on your device is encrypted, with its key stored in the iOS Keychain.
• API keys and OAuth client secrets are kept on our server and are never shipped in the app.
• Email access is read-only and limited to the purposes described above.

Data Retention and Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your saved deals, connected email accounts and their tokens, and your account information from our systems, except where retention is required by law. Disconnecting an email account deletes its stored tokens immediately. You can also email us to request deletion.

Children's Privacy

KeepSave is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights and Choices

You may disconnect your email account, delete individual deals, or delete your entire account at any time. You may also disable Nearby Store Alerts and location access at any time in Settings. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or export your data. Contact us to make a request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of KeepSave after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
